Manchester United will visit London Stadium to challenge West Ham United. Manager Michael Carrick, who played for West Ham United as a player, admitted that the opponent is a dangerous team.

In the pre-match press conference, Carrick detailed the team's recent defensive transformation and expressed high vigilance against West Ham United, managed by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Manchester United's recent solid defensive performance has been the cornerstone of their winning streak, especially their consecutive clean sheets at home. Carrick couldn't hide his satisfaction. He acknowledged that while the team possesses a powerful attack, a balance between attack and defense is the key to long-term success.

“If you can win without having to bombard the game every week, it does become easier,” Carrick explained. “We didn’t solve all the problems in three or four weeks, but the players responded very well to the coaching staff’s tactical requests. Learning how to defend as a unit off the ball has been a key focus of our work behind the scenes recently.”

Facing West Ham United, currently mired in a relegation battle, Carrick warned his team not to be complacent. He pointed out that relegation-threatened teams often display surprising fighting spirit, but this does not mean that Manchester United's desire to win will be inferior to their opponents.

Specifically discussing tactics, Carrick highlighted the threat posed by West Ham United under Nuno's management during transitions between attack and defense. Carrick said, "Although they have been plagued by injuries, their counter-attacks are very sharp, and they have extremely talented attackers. Once they get into a rhythm at home, they will become very dangerous."
